Raisin in the Sun Mini Project

RAISIN IN THE SUN MINI PROJECT

1.     Decide on a THEME for the entire play. Remember the theme should be a complete sentence. Next, explain how your theme and the play itself, ties into Unit 1: The American Dream. This should be a Constructed Response, which means 1-2 paragraphs. You must use the R.A.C.E Strategy. (Refer to page 7 in your notebook=

2.     Choose 2 different characters from A Raisin in the Sun and decide on a symbol that represents each character. You must illustrate your symbol. In ONE sentence explain how that symbol is the best representation of your character using evidence from the text.

3.     Fine a quote in the play that DIRECTLY and INDIRECTLY describes each character from number 2. You must write the Act & Scene that your quote comes from. Then tell what this quote is INDIRECTLY and DIRECTLY saying about your character.

4.     Your poster must be colored, organized, accurate and neat! You may choose to do this alone or with a partner. Friendly Reminder: Neatness will play a vital part in your overall grade!
