Work Session -

§  Instruction (I do):  Teacher will have students think about a life without money. How different would that be? Would America still function the same or no?

§  Guided Practice (We do): Money and the American Dream (Springboard pg. 81)

§  Independent Practice (You do): Students will read “Money” and complete the Second Read questions.

o   Closing:  Ticket Out the Door



·       Wednesday:

o   Opening:  The American Dream (Gen Edge)

o   Work Session -

§  Instruction (I do):  Teacher will review Elements of Drama Notes (Cornell Style)

§  Guided Practice (We do): Raisin in the Sun – Act I

§  Independent Practice (You do): Comprehension Questions/Open Discussions

o   Closing:  Ticket Out the Door



·       Thursday:

o   Opening:  How does “Money” connect to the Dream that Walter’s family wants to live? (Constructed Response)

o   Work Session -

§  Instruction (I do):  Teacher will review Elements of Drama Notes (Cornell Style)

§  Guided Practice (We do): Raisin in the Sun – Act II

§  Independent Practice (You do): Comprehension Questions/Open Discussions
